The Confederation of African Football says Ghana 2008 will take place from 20 January to 10 February 2008.
CAF announced in Cairo today that Ghana will host the 16 nation tournament in Accra, Kumasi, Sekondi and Tamale.
The continent’s governing body also fixed dates for next year's two youth championships.
The African under-20 championship will be held in Congo from 20 January to 4 February, 2007 with the top four finishers going on to the U-20 World Cup in Canada later in the year.
While the under-17 championship will be held in Togo from 10-24 March 2007.
Next month, Caf are to review the candidates for hosting the 2010 Nations Cup and whittle down the list to a final four or five.
The host will be decided in September.
