Ghanaian international Derek Asamoah struck for his seventh goal in four games to earn Chester victory over Wrexham. Asamoah was on target 15 minutes from time to give Chester their fourth win in a row.
Chester took the lead on 56 minutes through a Ben Davies penalty but Lee McEvilly levelled the match on 69 minutes for Wrexham.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko attacker has been in fine form pulling Chester out of a relegation to the fifteenth position on the 24-club table in the English Division two league.
The 24 year-old enjoyed little playing time during his short spell with Asante Kotoko in 2000 when he joined from West Ham United’s youth team.
