Four Brong Ahafo United players accused of assaulting a colleague player have been granted 10 million cedis bail each.
The four - Alhaji Abass, Kwasi Boateng, Ibrahim Adams and Awudu Moro reappeared at the Sunyani Magistrate's Court yesterday after the first sitting on April 3.
The four are alleged to have beaten Alex Odenkey for reporting the bribery scandal to officials of the club.
They are to reappear on May 11.
Akwasi Boateng, Ibrahim Adams and Awudu Moro at their first appearance in court, pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit crime, assault and causing harm, while Alhaji Abass pleaded guilty with explanation.
The prosecutor for the case chief inspector E.T. Boison at the first sitting told the court that rumours circulated after the team’s match in the national middle league with Tema Youth, which they lost 3-0 the accused, collected bribes and that resulted in the team's defeat on March 30
The accused, on hearing the rumours suspected the complainant of spreading the allegation.
The prosecutor said the accused went in search of Odenkey and when they located him at New Town, in Sunyani they subjected him to severe beatings.
Odenkey was reported to have taken 500,000 cedis as his share of the alleged 6 million cedi sum.
