Accra Hearts of Oak were thrashed 4-0 by St George of Ethiopia in their CAF Champions league second round eliminator in Addis Ababa.
The host scored two goals in each half to give the once African Champions a big task during the second leg clash in Ghana.
St. George scored first through a spot kick before securing the second goal to end the first half 2-0 up.
But back from recess, St. George scored the third goal after a defensive lapse in the Phobians goal area.
The Ethiopians with about eight minutes to go fired in the fourth goal from a resultant corner kick.
Hearts reached this stage without kicking a ball after gaining a walk over Gambian side, Wallidan. The Gambians withdrew from the competition.
The Phobians now face a uphill task overturning the four-nil deficit during the second leg to be played at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium.
