Ten-man Kumasi Asante Kotoko managed to hold Ferravairo Maputo to a goalless drawn game in the CAF Champions league second round eliminator.
Kotoko were reduced to ten men following a red card shown defender Samuel Addo in the first half after a confrontation with a Ferravairo player.
The return leg comes off in two weeks time at the Len Clay stadium in Obuasi.
In a post match interview, Kotoko coach Emmanuel Kwasi Afranie expressed happiness with the result and believe his team stand a good chance of edging out Ferravairo.
“Playing ten men for over an hour was difficult.
“But we effected some changes and I think the tactics worked.
“The result is good for us. We just need a good result in the second leg,” Afranie said.
