Berekum Arsenals have distanced themselves from claims by the clubs secretary that they are opposed to King Faisal’s use of the Sunyani Coronation Park for their confederations cup match this weekend.
King Faisal are expected to play AS Bamako at the coronation park on Saturday in the return leg of their second round CAF confederations cup following CAF’S endorsement of the venue for continental matches.
Yesterday morning the club’s secretary, Techie Arhin told a local radio station that the club was not in favour of the arrangement.
In a swift reaction, club chairman Yakubu Moro says Mr Techie Arhin’s comments do not reflect the position of the club and that they do not have any qualms about Faisal’s usage of the facility.
Berekum Arsenals are due to play the Black Devils of Congo on Sunday at the same venue.
