The build-up to this weekend’s hectic continental schedule enters high gear today with the expected arrival of two of the four foreign clubs in Ghana.
Accra Hearts of Oak’s champion’s league opponents, St George arrive in Ghana with a seemingly unassailable four goal lead from the first leg.
They play Hearts on Saturday in Obuasi.
Another side playing on Saturday is Malian side AS Bamako.
They are due in Ghana today and play Alhaji Grunsah’s King Faisal at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Saturday.
But King Faisal’s decision to play at the Coronation Park has drawn the ire of Berekum Arsenals who are due to play the Black Devils of Congo on Sunday at the same venue.
Berekum Arsenal’s secretary Techie Arhin says the away team would train at the stadium on the eve of the match making it impossible for Faisal to use the venue on Saturday.
"The away team would train at the venue a day before our game so I don't think it would be possible for King Faisal to use the venue on Saturday."
Meanwhile Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak are locked in negotiations with AshantiGold over the use of the Len Clay stadium.
Reports reveal that AshantiGold have reduced their $6,000 facility user fee demand to $5,000.
But Kotoko and Hearts are still bargaining for a significant reduction.
A deal is set to be agreed later today.
