Former Accra Hearts of Oak coach, Sanzio Bahner has secured another job in Nigeria.
The German coach has been appointed coach of Nigerian club Shooting Stars.
Bahner had previously worked in Ghana as coach of King Faisal Babes and Hearts of Oak.
The appointment of Bahner comes as a shift in the use of expatriate coaches by Nigerian clubs.
Despite having one of the richest leagues on the continent, Nigerian clubs rarely employ foreign coaches.
Bahner’s last job on the continent was with Accra Hearts of Oak where the Phobians failed to renew his contract after an unimpressive tenure in his first season with the club.
Bahner failed to lead the Phobians to a successful title defence when the Hearts lost the league crown to archrivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
