Former Black Starlets assistant coach, Bright Obeng has passed away after a protracted illness.
He was 39 and is survived by a wife and three children.
The onetime Black Stars player died on Saturday in Kumasi.
Obeng, until his sickness was an assistant coach of the 2005 national under-17 team, the Black Starlets that won silver at the Africa Championship in The Gambia and qualified for the World Championship in Peru.
He could not join the team to Peru due to sickness.
An attacker in playing days, was a coach with Feyenoord Academy after having enjoyed a successful playing career with Sekondi Hasaacas, Great Olympics, Okwawu Utd, AshantiGold and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
May His Soul Rest in Peace.
