Black Stars striker Matthew Amoah finally retuned to action for Borrusia Dortmund after sitting on the sidelines for over a month.
The striker had been down due to nagging knee injury picked up during Ghana’s participation at the African Cup of Nations in January.
Amoah came off the bench for Ghanaian-born winger David Odonkor in the 59th minute in Dortmund’s 4-2 win over Hamburg on Saturday.
The game was Amoah’s first for Dortmund since his signing from Dutch side, Vitesse Arnhem in January.
According to Dortmund team doctors, Amoah had hyper-extended knee ligament, which required special rehabilitation.
Amoah's return to the pitch gives Ghana coach Ratomir Dujkovic more striking options ahead of the World Cup finals in Germany as he awaits the recovery of Isaac Boakye.
