Ghana defender, John Mensah scored his first goal for new club RC Rennes in the French Championate over the weekend.
Mensah who joined Rennes in January from Italy’s Cremonese hit the back of the net after fellow African John Utaka had put them ahead in their 2-0 win over Troyes.
The Black Stars central defender scored in the 52nd minute after Nigeria’s Utaka had scored the first in the 25th minute.
The win pushes Rennes to the fifth position on the table as they continue their unbeaten run and vie for a place in Europe next season.
In the Israeli league, Black Stars defender Emmanuel Pappoe also found the back of the net for Hapoel Kfar-Saba in their 3-1 win over Hapoel Natzrath-Elite.
Another Ghanaian, Samuel Yeboah scored the two other goals scored for Hapoel Kfar-Saba.
Meanwhile, in the Swiss League, Alex Techie Menson scored the only goal of the match for St Gallen in their 1-0 win over Thun.
The Ghanaian striker hit the back of the net in the 68th minute.
