Berekum Arsenals moved into contention for the Top-4 trophy with a 3-2 win over favourites, Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Golden City park.
The win pushes Arsenal into second after match-day-II of the OneTouch Top-4 competition.
Arsenal went ahead in the 13th minute through Owusu Addai from a counter after the home team’s defence had foiled a Kotoko move.
Kotoko briefly showed signs of getting the equalizer but James Boadu rose above the porcupine warriors’ markers to head in from a corner kick making it 2-0.
Arsenal, being cheered by their fans managed to hold onto the 2-0 lead to end the first half.
Back from recess, Asante Kotoko produced a renewed spirit and secured two goals within a spate of ten minutes, all through midfielder Yusif Chibsah.
But with ten minutes to go, James Boadu, continued with fantastic scoring run in recent weeks when he again applied the head to nod in the winner for Arsenal.
The defeat sends Kotoko down the table of the four-club competition with a single point after match-day-II.
