The Ghana Football Association has appointed former Black Stars stalwart defender, Anthony Baffoe, as International Relations Officer for the federation.
The German-born Ghanaian will act as a liaison officer between the FA and the Black Stars players, among other duties.
He will be operating from an office to be established in the German city, Wurzburg, which would be Ghana’s base for the World Cup finals.
The Ghana Football Association has also confirmed the appointment of three technical persons as scouts for the technical team of the Black Stars.
U.S-based Robert Sackey will team up with coaches Sam Arday and Jones Attuquayefio to provide some technical advise on Ghana’s opponents to coach Ratomir Dujkovic and his assistants before and during the Germany World Cup.
Though an unknown in Ghana, Robert Sackey is reportedly an astute technical brain in the American Major League Soccer.
At a press briefing in Accra today, FA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi, said Sackey brings a lot of expertise to the job to complement that of his local compatriots.
