The Ghana League Clubs Association, GHALCA, says it is awaiting word from the sports ministry on the rehabilitation of the El Wak Park.
The Park, which is one of the venues being used by GHALCA for its pre-season competition, the Top Four tournament, is expected to be closed for renovations before the second round of matches at the weekend.
But GHALCA chairman, J.Y Appiah, says the government has yet to award the contract for the works.
In the absence of the El Wak Park, the Swedru and Cape Coast Parks have been speculated as alternative home venues for Accra Hearts of Oak.
Mr Appiah however insists, the decision on an alternative home ground rests solely with the Phobians.
He also admitted that the closure of the El Wak Park would have an adverse effect on the financial gains and patronage of the matches.
