Dutch side, Vitesse Arnhem are sweating on the fitness of Ghanaian striker Fred Benson.

The 21-year-old picked up an ankle injury during Vitesse's 2-2 draw at NAC Breda on Friday.

Benson was hurt following a robust challenge from behind by a NAC' players and was substituted just before the hour mark.

The club's initial diagnosis is that the attacker has suffered a heavily bruised ankle, but will require further tests.

Vitesse are currently unclear when Benson will be fit to return to action and are hoping to learn more over the coming days.

Benson is uncapped for Ghana and was recently given a call up by the Dutch under-21 team.
