Ghanaian international Abubakari Yakubu faces a month’s lay off due to injury while playing for club, Vitesse Arnhem.

Yakubu, a member of the Black Stars squad during January’s African Cup of Nations was injured during Vitesse’s 5-1 win against RBC Roosendaal on Sunday in the Dutch Eredivisie.

The 24-year-old midfielder is reported to have torn a muscle in his left thigh.

The injury means Yakubu would be missing some friendly games lined up by Ghana in the coming weeks ahead of the world cup finals.
