Kumasi Asante Kotoko have again failed to name of the club’s new chief executive officer after a two-day meeting by the major stakeholders of the club in Kumasi.
However, Kotoko’s public relations officer, Jarvis Preprah has been handed the job of acting chief executive officer of the club until a substantive CEO is named.
The move comes after the board of directors to dissolved the three-member interim management team of the club following the completion of their mandate.
The three-member body led by CEO aspirant Alhaji Injie, Kwame Despite and Kwabena Kesse still hold themselves as board members of the porcupine warriors.
According to the club’s board, another meeting would be conveyed in two weeks to name a substantive CEO for the club.
After a few postponements the board was expected to announce the candidate for the position today at the end of their two-day meeting which begun yesterday.
The three frontrunners for the job, Jerry Asare, Alhaji Injie and Sylvester Asare Owusu are reportedly in Kumasi awaiting the big announcement.
The position of chief executive officer at the club has been vacant since the exit of Major (rtd) Yaw Larson in 2004.
