Black Stars midfielder, Michael Essien scored his first ever goal for Chelsea in thirty-one appearances for the reigning champions at Stamford Bridge, Saturday.
The Ghanaian player who joined Chelsea this season for record £24 million move from French side Olympique Lyon put Chelsea ahead in their 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspurs.
Chelsea went ahead when Michael Essien tucked away his first goal for Chelsea from a Shaun Wright-Phillips' low cross in the 14th minute.
Essien’s goal was however cancelled by Jermaine Jenas when he reacted first to Michael Dawson's knock-down to nick the ball past Petr Cech.
But just when it looked like Spurs would become only the second side this season to deny Chelsea Premiership victory at Stamford Bridge, up stepped Gallas.
Cutting in from the left, he curled a super shot round a helpless Robinson to leave Spurs still looking for their first league win over Chelsea in 16 years.
