Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play Ferroviario Maputo of Mozambique in the second round eliminator in the CAF Champions League after sealing their qualification at the weekend.
Kotoko thumped Royal Aigle Club of Cameroon 3-nil in the second leg of their first round eliminator at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi bringing their aggregate score 4-1 and pick up one of the slots in the second round of the competition.
Charles Taylor sent the fans into a frenzy with the opening goal, which was his first in any competitive match since rejoining the Porcupine Warriors.
After several fluffs in front goal Yusif Chibsah scored the second for the home team.
New signing Obeng Darko, who came on for Taylor, completed the romp with the third strike in the second half.
Though they could have won by a wider margin, coach E.K Afranie was not disappointed at his team’s performance.
"I am very happy with the scoreline. We still have to work harder for our next game. My boys played a great game."
