Kumasi Asante Kotoko will warm up for this weekend’s champions league qualifier with a friendly against Ashanti Gold today.
AshantiGold, return to the Len Clay stadium where they claimed Accra Hearts of Oak’s scalp last Sunday with that 2-0 victory.
Asante Kotoko coach, E.K Afranie believes the game against AshantiGold will provide a good test for Sunday’s game.
The porcupine warriors are also considering another friendly against Equatorial Guinea side, Renascimento on Friday.
Meanwhile coach Afranie has lifted the suspension imposed on defender Dan Acquah ahead of the first leg tie two weeks ago.
Dan Acquah was dismissed from the team’s camp for a show of indiscipline.
He weighed in with his fair share of goals last season, scoring five goals as Kotoko won the premier league title.
Another friendly encounter lined up today is between Hearts of Oak and Renascimento.
Both clubs lost over the weekend in separate warm up games.
As Hearts were losing to AshantiGold, Renascimento, currently in Ghana to prepare for their champions league qualifier against Africa sports also lost to Abedi Pele’s Nania FC.
Alhaji Grunsah’s King Faisal will also prepare for the commencement of the Confederations cup campaign with Okwawu United.
Okwawu United remember will playoff against the third best team from the ongoing national middle league for their premiership place.
