Ghanaian international Laryea Kingston made his debut for new club Locomotiv Moscow in their Uefa Cup first knockout round first-leg tie in Moscow.

Laryea Kingston played for 60 minutes but could not help his side who went down 1-0 to Spanish club Seville.

Black Star defender Samuel Osei Kuffuor played the entire duration of the game as AS Roma, the team of the moment in Italy, demonstrated their European pedigree with a battling 2-1 win at Club Bruges last night.

Roma who are now one win away from equaling the Serie A record of 10 successive victories.

Roma's Serie A rivals Udinese also carved out a fine victory as they brushed aside Racing Lens 3-0.

Black Star midfielder Sulley Muntari featured for 68 minutes and was influential in assisting Brazilian striker Paulo Barreto to score a brace with Antonio Di Natale sealing the Udinese win.

However there was heart break for another Ghanaian player.
