The call up of Patrick Agyemang into the Black Stars squad for their March 1st friendly against Mexico has excited Preston North End manager Billy Davies.
The Preston North End manager is delighted that his striker’s form has been rewarded with a Ghana call-up.
The 25-year-old player was on stand-by to feature in the African Cup of Nations team, but failed to make the final 23-man squad.
However, Agyemang's impressive form for The Lilywhites this term has earned a call-up for Ghana's upcoming friendly with Mexico in the United States.
Davies is hoping Agyemang can seize the opportunity with both hands in a bid to enhance his chances of making their World Cup squad this summer.
"We are all delighted for Pat, it is a great for not only him but for the club to have another player with international recognition," Davies told the club's official website.
"The call up is a great opportunity for Pat, hopefully he can do well and force himself into the squad for the World Cup Finals this summer."
