The executive committee of the Ghana Football Association have elected Fred Pappoe as the football federation’s vice-president.
Fred Pappoe, chairman of the Black Stars management committee beat his closest contestant George Amoako by a difference of three votes.
Pappoe pulled 12 votes to beat George Amoako who had 9 votes.
Other contestants who were in the reckoning for the position were Fred Crentsil, Awuah Nyamekye and Randy Abbey.
The 22-man body, sworn into office just before the African Cup of Nations is required by law to elect the vice-president from among them.
The executive committee also elected Randy Abbey, Awuah Nyamekye and Fred Crenstil onto the emergency committee.
The trio would join FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi and his vice Fred Pappoe on the five-member emergency committee.
