Accra Hearts of Oak’s deal with King Faisal to sign striker Eric Gawu seems to have fallen through at the last minute.
Though both parties agreed a 600 million cedi transfer fee for the player, Gawu has purportedly suffered a change of heart and is now eyeing a move to Qatar.
The player was set to leave the country yesterday for Qatar but was turned away by airport immigration officers, due to irregularities in his travelling documents.
Gawu had earlier declared his desire to join the Phobians but his attentions have been swayed by the interest from the Qatari club.
Though Hearts of Oak are yet to officially sign the player, King Faisal’s team manager, has suggested that the Phobians were behind the move to prevent the player from travelling.
