Despite his four-match suspension, which effectively rules him out of the ongoing African Cup of nations, Black Stars midfielder Laryea Kingston has opted to stay with his national team-mates in Egypt instead of joining his new Russian club.

Locomotiv Moscow, whom Laryea signed for a season’s loan spell just before the tournament are in Spain for pre-season training, but Kingston says staying on with the Black Stars is his utmost priority.

Laryea insists watching Ghana’s last group match against Zimbabwe from the stands would be absolute torture.

"I hope Ghana will not go out of this competition because most people will say the problem is from me."
