Senegal could dump Ghana out of the tournament if they win their second Group D game in Port Said on Friday.
The Senegalese are expected to name the same side that beat Zimbabwe 2-0, with El-Hadji Diouf and Henri Camara continuing up front despite Diouf wasting several chances.
Ghana have no injury problems but coach Ratomir Dujkovic is expected to name a more attacking line-up against Senegal than he did againt Nigeria.
Against the Super Eagles, the Black Stars played 5-4-1, with Matthew Amoah as the lone striker, but Dujkovic says he will shift to 4-4-2, with Joetex Frimpong likely to play as Yakubu Abubakari makes way for him.
Senegal striker El-Hadji Diouf:
"I know this is a very, very hard game but everybody is ready to go and fight it.
"Ghana are a big team and if you beat them it gives you a lot of confidence.
"If we win, we're going to the quarter-finals, if Ghana win, we're going to lose confidence. It's a big game."
Ghana midfielder Laryea Kingston:
"The game is very important for us because if we win, we stay in the competition, so we're going all out to deliver the goods.
"We were a bit defensive against Nigeria but I think we will open up against Senegal and go for victory. If we get a goal in the early stages, it will help us too.
"Senegal are tough, they have a lot of good players but this is a game we cannot afford to lose."
Kick-off is at 15:15GMT. Match venue: Port Said Stadium.
