The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwasi Nyantakyi firmly believes the Black Stars still have more than a fair chance of advancing to the last eight of the African Cup of Nations. Despite the disappointing 1-0 loss to Nigeria on Monday, the Black Stars are hopeful of bouncing back when they play Senegal’s Teranga Lions on Friday.
Kwasi Nyantakyi remains positive about Ghana’s chances in the remaining two games though he chooses to look at all the possibilities.
“I think it’s a temporal set back. We should not throw our arms into the air in despair and think that all is lost.
“We still have two more games to go and we are capable of winning those two games and advance to the next stage of the competition.
"We can still overcome this temporary set back and launch ourselves into the next stage of the competition. Everything is possible under the sun.
“I’m very optimistic that the team would do well and qualify to the next stage,” Nyantakyi said.
Ghana plays group D leaders, Senegal on Friday in Port Said.
