Ghana’s Black Stars would arrive in the Egyptian city of Port Said today after weeks of camping in Tunisia ahead of the African Cup of Nations.
The 23-man Black Stars squad have spent close to three weeks, camping in the Tunisian town of Monastir.
Ghana’s build up for the 25th African Cup of Nations hasn’t been smooth sailing after losing two successive matches to the Hawks of Togo and Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles in a week
The Hawks of Togo first beat the Stars 1-0 last Wednesday before the defending African champions, Tunisia defeated Ghana 2-0 on Sunday.
Ghana open their Nations Cup campaign against Group D opponents Nigeria on 23 January before games against Senegal and Zimbabwe.
Black Stars coach Ratomir Dujkovic has expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of his players after Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Tunisia.
“I’m a little bit worried because the boys didn’t show good performance in today’s (Sunday) match.
“Of course we lost because of that but we still have time to change something, improve a little bit if possible.
“But in this moment I’m very preoccupied because I’m not satisfied with the performance of most of the players’ performance in today’s (Sunday) match,” Dujkovic said.
