Ghana’s Black Stars would be playing their last preparatory game tomorrow ahead of African Nations Cup competition which kicks off next week.
The Black Stars would take the Carthage Eagles at the Rades stadium in Tunisia.
Ghana lost 1-0 in their first friendly game of the year to Togo’s Hawks on Wednesday in the Tunisian town of Monastir.
Black Stars coach, Ratomir Dujkovic submitted his 23-man squad yesterday minus Chelsea midfielder, Michael Essien.
Essien on Wednesday returned to training with his Chelsea teammates much earlier than expected and was tipped to join the Stars in the course of the competition. Dujkovic has had to make some changes to his squad following injuries to midfielders to midfielders, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan.
The Black Stars missed out of CAF’s Tuesday’s first deadline for the submission of team lists, which attracts a fine of $3000.
But Dujkovic is hopeful of success in Egypt despite an uninspiring showing by the Stars in their game against Togo’s Hawks.
“When the Stars qualified for the World Cup we played like a team, and that is very important, so I don’t think we’ll miss any player in Egypt,” Dujkovic said.
The Black Stars will move to Cairo on 17th January for the Nations Cup.
The African Cup of Nations begins on January 20 and ends on 10 February.
