Kumasi Asante Kotoko have reportedly named former coach Malik Jabir as the club’s director of operations.
Malik Jabir replaces Yaw Gyasi who resigned earlier this week over disagreements with the board.
The appointment is only a change of portfolio for Malik Jabir who is already a co-opted member of the Interim management team.
Two management members of Kumasi Asante Kotoko resigned from the club, following a meeting at the Manhyia Palace last Friday.
Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh and Yaw Gyasi announced their resignations after members of the Board of Directors and interim management team of the club met the life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to stock of the past year.
Yamoah Ponkoh until his resignation was the combined deputy director of operations and public relations.
This is the second time in less than a year that the controversial Mr Ponkoh has announced his decision to stay away from the club.
According to Yamoah Ponkoh, he has been forced to take the decision because of certain happenings in the club.
Yamoah says he is unhappy with the direction being provided the club by the Board of Directors.
Yaw Gyasi who was the Director of operations also blamed his departure from the club on the actions of certain board members.
