Ghana missed out on a place in the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations after a defeat by Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe took a surprise lead when Cephas Chimedza bundled the ball over the line after a mistake by Ghana keeper Sammy Adjel.

Benjani made it 2-0 when he ran on to a loose ball to slot home.

Zimbabwe had a third goal disallowed for offside before Baba Adamu's spectacular injury-time strike for Ghana which was merely a consolation.

In the other group game, Nigeria came from a goal down to beat Senegal 2-1. Both nations qualify to the next stage of the competition.
