Regional delegates have started arriving for the Ghana Football Association’s presidential elections scheduled for its extraordinary congress tomorrow.
The five contestants in the race for the presidency, Kwesi Nyantakyi, Y.A Ibrahim, Ade Coker, Kojo Bonsu and Vincent Odotei Sowah have been campaigning to win the votes of the 122 electorate at tomorrow’s congress.
However doubts have been cast over the upcoming elections with some of the contestants threatening court action to stop the Football association from going ahead with the elections.
Apart from Kwesi Nyantakyi, the four other contestants have accused the GFA of failing to declare the electoral list as well as notify them of the venue of the impending elections.
Already, twenty members have so far been elected to the executive committee from the premier league clubs, division one and the regional football associations.
A new FA president and a representative from the schools and colleges will complete the list of persons for the new 22-man executive committee of the Ghana Football Association.
