Black Stars coach Ratomir Dujkovic says he will not compromise and share his key player Michael Essien with Chelsea during next the African Cup of Nations.
The Ghana coach Dujkovic was speaking to reporters before the team’s departure to Tunisia last night.
The coach is clear about his position and says Essien will not be allowed to commute between London and Cairo.
“No, this is not acceptable and in our conversation, it was 50/50 and in the coming weeks, first week in January, I must talk again with Mourinho to finalize this problem.”
“This is our idea but they (Chelsea) have many matches in England and they are asking to maintain Essien in Chelsea but for us this is also not acceptable because this is a very important tournament for the Black Stars and we like to have the first selection to win the fifth time, this (African Cup of Nations) trophy,” Dujkovic said.
The coach left Accra last night with a blend of local and international players for a three-week training tour of Tunisia before the start of the tournament.
