Kumasi King Faisal has agreed in principle to transfer their player Shilla Illiasu to city rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Illiasu is one of four players that Kotoko planned to recruit from Faisal next season.
But Faisal had declared they would rather secure international transfer deals for the players.
The two Kumasi based clubs are currently engaged in negotiations for the release of the player.
In a related development, Kotoko are keen on signing on Asfag Yenega goalkeeper, Sulemana Abdoulaye.
Reports say the Porcupine Warriors have mandated former coach Malik Jabir to begin negotiations on the transfer of the player.
Kotoko plan to use the goalkeeper for their CAF Champions League campaign next year.
Abdoulaye caught the fancy of the Porcupine Warriors after a sterling performance at the ongoing Otumfuo Invitational Cup tournament.
The player, who is the number one choice for the Burkina national team, saved three of the penalty kicks in Yenega’s opening game against AshantiGold.
