The frontrunner in the Ghana Football Association presidential race, Kwesi Nyantakyi, says he would propose the downsizing of the number of referees in the premier league.
Currently over one hundred and fifty match officials work in the premier league.
But the acting GFA Chairman insists a smaller number of referees will enhance the quality of officiating in the league.
The acting GFA chairman has been touring the Northern region of the country to address pertinent issues, which lie at the heart of his campaign.
Kwesi Nyantakyi is one of the five people to have filed their nomination for the presidency of the federation.
Also in the race for the December 30 elections are Ade Coker, Y.A Ibrahim, Kojo Bonsu and Vincent Sowah.
