The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Ghana's Ben Koufie as a member of Technical Study Group for next January's Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The study group would focus on the technical aspect of the month-long biannual soccer showpiece and make recommendations to be submitted to all national associations.
Ben Koufie, a former chairman of the Ghana Football Association is also a member of the FIFA Technical Committee is expected to bring his rich experience as a former player and a coach to bear on the competition.
A CAF message praised the former GFA chairman who has had a coaching spell with Zimbabwean and Botswana.
He was a member of the CAF Technical Study Group during the CAN 1994 in Tunisia, Ghana '99 Youth Championship and also a member of the FIFA technical team during the Japan/Korea World Cup tournament.
Ben Koufie told says that he has reached an agreement with the National Sports Council to help fully develop local coaches in the country.
A preliminary course would be organised for the coaches from Monday, January 19, to Friday January 23, at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium.
It would be followed by intermediary and advanced courses early next year.
Ben Koufie leaves for Egypt a week ahead of the competition.
