Burkinabe side, Asfag Yennenga yesterday kicked out AshantiGold from the Otumfuo Invitational soccer tournament to book a semifinal place.
The Burkinabes after a 1-1 drawn game in regulation time edged the miners out of the maiden tournament by a 4-2 goal aggregate in a penalty shoot-out.
Yennenga, took the lead through a spot kick converted by skipper Alassane Ismael in the 85th minute after substitute Ouettara Aboubecar had been brought down in the penalty.
AshantiGold responded by mounting pressure on their opponents and it paid off when they were awarded a penalty after Samuel Kwarteng went down in the Yennenga box in the 88th minute.
Sadik Adams stepped up to take the kick and put the miners on level pegging. ASFA Yennenga would meet Nigeria's Enyimba in the semi finals on Thursday.
King Faisal who beat Africa Sports 1-0 in the opening match on Sunday play Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a similar semi-final match, today.
