AshantiGold will begin their quest for off-season honor in the Otumfuo Invitational Cup tournament with a tricky duel with Burkinabe contenders, Asfa Yenega in Kumasi today.

AshantiGold, who are coming from a torrid season in the Ghanaian premiership, are seeking to join seeded side Asante Kotoko and King Faisal who triumphed 1-0 over Africa Sports in the next round of the tournament.

The winner of today’s tie will play Nigerian giants Enyimba, the other seeded team, in the semi-finals of the competition.

Coach David Duncan will be in Kumasi in an observer role with acting coach Evans Adotey handling team affairs today.
