King Faisal would be playing city rivals Asante Kotoko at the semi-final stage of the Otumfuo Invitational tournament on Wednesday with victory over Africa Sports.

Faisal beat the nine-man Ivorian side 1-0 at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.

Sumaila Yahaya scored the match winner in the second half to pitch Faisal against Asante Kotoko.

AshantiGold would play Burkinabe side, Asfag Yenega on Tuesday at the same venue with the winner of that game booking a semi-final place with Nigerian champions, Enyimba.

Enyimba, the former African champions are expected to arrive on Monday for the tournament.

Each of the competing teams is entitled to an appearance fee of $15,000.

The winner will receive prize money of $30,000, with the runner-up bagging $20,000 and the third $15,000.
