Ghana would find out who they will face at the 2006 World Cup when the draw takes place from 1930 GMT in Leipzig today.
The Black Stars have been placed in Pool Two together with a host of countries making their world cup debut.
Ghana stands the chance of been paired with hosts Germany and holders Brazil as well as Argentina, France, Italy, Spain, England and Mexico in the group stage.
Ghana would be placed in any of the eight groups without another African side.
Ahead of the draws, the acting chairman of the Ghana Football Association Kwasi Nyantakyi says Ghana would welcome any group it finds itself in when the draw for the 2006 World Cup is conducted.
“We would welcome any group we are placed in. We are not dreaming about any possible group that would suit us. Playing at this level puts you up against tough opponents.
“Remember Cameroon beat Argentina and also at the last World Cup Senegal stunned the defending champions, France. It tells you anything can happen.”
For the draw today, around 3,700 people will be present in the auditorium at the huge trade fair hall in Leipzig's Neue Messe exhibition centre.
The World Cup finals in Germany begin on 9 June 2006 and the final takes place in Berlin on 9 July.
