Ghanaian born striker Junior Agogo will sign a new deal at Bristol Rovers today.
The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the lower leagues over the past couple of seasons and already has 10 goals to his name this term despite playing in a struggling Rovers side.
The Pirates are keen to tie him down to a new deal as his current contract is due to expire next summer.
Negotiations between Rovers and Agogo's representatives have been ongoing for some time, but agreement has now been reached and skysports.com understand the hit-man will put pen-to-paper on a new two-year deal on Friday.
It is believed the contract will contain a release clause that will enable the player to move on should a sizeable bid come in from the higher divisions.
Rovers rejected bids from both Oxford and Southend for the hit-man last summer, while there has been interest in him from QPR, Millwall and Southampton.
