No Ghanaian match official has been selected to officiate at next year’s African cup of nations tournament in Egypt.
According to the list of the referees and assistants released by the confederation of African football on its website, no referee or referee’s assistant from Ghana could make it into the 33-man list.
The continent’s top referees including Coffi Codjia from Benin, Morocco’s Mohammed Guezzaz and Tunisia’s Daami Mourad will be in action.
The Ghanaian duo of Justice Agbeko and Nicholas Dwomoh were among the tall list of officials invited by CAF to undertake a training course and other fitness tests a few weeks ago.
But they were not included in the list.
