Vincent Sowah-Odotei, a business executive in Accra has joined the race for the presidency of the Ghana Football Association.
Vincent picked his nomination forms yesterday and says he has what it takes to run the Ghana football.
The race for the presidency of the Ghana Football Association has now increased from three to four contestants.
The three front-runners for the job have all picked up their forms after nominations opened on Monday.
The acting FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi, the former Adidas representative Kojo Bonsu and chairman of the Executive Council YA Ibrahim have all filed their nominations.
Vincent Sowah-Odotei, says with his experience in the public sector would help him run the FA efficiently.
"Though I remain unknown in the higher football circles I have contributed to football in my own way through the provision of funds and assistance to certain players on the local scene."
Vincent Sowah-Odotei is affiliated to Division one side Mariners.
The elections slated for the end of this month would usher Ghana Football into a new era after the association’s extra-ordinary Congress on Thursday approved the statutory and structural changes recommended by FIFA.
Candidates have between December 5 and 9 to submit their nominations. A candidate needs the backing of at least 10 members of Congress for his nomination.
Acting GFA chairman, Kwesi Nyantakyi, is hot favorite to win the presidential elections.
Before the Congress on December 30, the election of 10 Regional Football Association (RFA) chairmen, who automatically become members of the Executive Committee, will be conducted on December 19.
On December 8, all districts in Ghana that have 3rd and 4th division clubs, will hold their delegate congresses to elect two candidates each who will vote for the RFA chairmen eleven days later.
