Kumasi Asante Kotoko have all but ruled out the possibility of Charles Taylor participating in the upcoming Otumfuo challenge Cup.
Initial reports indicated that the Porcupine Warriors were keen to have the player feature in the tournament.
But the club’s deputy public relations officer Yamoah Ponkoh says that would not happen.
Yamoah Ponkoh says that though the club is yet to conclude discussions with Etoile Sahel-the player’s current club, he might not be ready at all for the challenge Cup that takes kicks off this weekend.
Meanwhile Former African champions Asec Mimosas are expected in Ghana this Friday ahead of the Otumfuo Challenge cup which kicks off this weekend.
Burkinabe champions ASFA Yenega are also due in on Friday.
With both Kotoko and Nigerian giants Enyimba seeded for the second round, AshantiGold will begin the one-week tournament with a clash against Yenega and King Faisal playing Asec Mimosas.
Both matches will be played on Sunday December 11.
