Two former premiership sides eyeing a return to the elite division suffered an upset yesterday in match day two of the division one sub middle league.

Swedru All Blacks dented an impressive start to their campaign after earning one point from a difficult tie against Wise Fighters.

All Blacks now share the top spot with Wise Fighters in zone two after drawing one all.

All Blacks will need at least a draw in their last encounter against Kessben FC to qualify for the last six.

Former Asante Kotoko and national star, Kofi Abbrey at 47 years is still a player and at the same time coach of All Blacks.

He reckons a return to the premiership is a distinct possibility.

“It’s not going to be easy to gain qualification but I think we would go through. I only want to qualify this team to the premier league.”

In the other results of match day two, Bibiani Goldstars beat Kessben FC 3-1 in the other zone two fixture.

Accra Great Olympics lost 0-1 to Tema Youth in Sekondi and Great mariners drew goalless with Home stars in zone three.

Olympics need to win on Saturday to secure a ticket to the six club middle league.
