The acting chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, says the federation will soon take a firm and significant step to rid the local game of acts that seek to bring the sport into disrepute.
The FA boss said the association has begun investigations into some evidence before it and would not hesitate to apply the required sanctions as stipulated in its rule books.
Kwesi Nyantakyi was commenting on the widespread allegations of match fixing and bribery in the just ended GT Premier league.
"The disciplinary committee have started investigations into allegations of match fixing," Nyantakyi said.
"We are taking the allegations very seriously and we plan dealing with them with the maximum significance they deserve.
"Justice will be administered without fear or favour and that is an assurance I want everyone to keep," Nyantakyi added.
