Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak are demanding financial assistance from government to enable them participate in next year’s CAF champions league competition.
Officials of the two clubs have been arguing their case ahead of their participation in continetal football next year.
The two clubs would be representing Ghana in the lucrative competition after finishing tops in the GT premier league.
The clubs are requesting government to shoulder their huge budget when they begin their quest for continental glory in February.
Ghanaian clubs in the past have requested financial support from government but have always been turned down.
Government claims clubs would have to present their financial statements for scrutiny before any decision can made to assist them.
