Kumasi Asante Kotoko have begun the search for a substantive chief executive officer after an impressive season.

The Board of directors of the club say they will not open the position up to the public but rather pen down a few names out of which the new CEO will be selected.

Board secretary, Kwame Boafo, told a local station that the decision is to ensure that the new appointee is a loyal member of the Kotoko family.

“We ourselves know those who are capable, those who are members of the Kotoko family. We want to restrict it to members of the Kotoko family for obvious reasons.

“It is because we want people with loyalty, unaligned loyalty to Kotoko.

We would fish for people with the requisite professional acumen. We want to run Kotoko this time round on a professionally sound basis and on business lines” Boafo said.
