The disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association would begin preliminary hearing on allegations of match fixing involving four premier league clubs on Thursday.
Officials of Hearts of Oak, Kotoko, Heart of Lions and Real Tamale United, as well as the chairmen of the clubs and some individuals mentioned in the allegations will appear before the committee to help it establish the basis for the investigations.
This is the first step in the investigations on two major allegations of corruption brought before the committee by Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the aftermath of the 2005 GT Premier League.
Hearts of Oak were the first to entreat the football association to investigate allegations of match fixing leveled by RTU supporters against their club officials and their Kotoko counterparts ahead of their penultimate league match at the Kaladan Park.
But a few days after Kotoko came up with a counterclaim accusing Hearts and Heart of Lions of agreeing to play a match of convenience.
Kotoko put out a tape recording of voices allegedly belonging to the chairmen of Hearts and Heart of Lions as proof of their allegation.
The GFA has vowed to be thorough in its investigations and to administer the sanctions, as stipulated in its rulebooks, to the liable parties.
