The Ghana Football Association has invited any individual with evidence to buttress allegations of bribery in the Real Tamale United and Kumasi Asante Kotoko league match last Sunday to come forward and defend their allegations.
A statement signed by Mr Kwaku Ampem-Darko, Deputy General Secretary Technical of the GFA said the Professional League Board (PLB) would only entertain incontrovertible information that has credible data.
The statement said the reason to invite individuals to submit evidence stem from the Graphic publication on the RTU/Kotoko league match, which appeared in the Tuesday, November 8 issue, alleging match fixing by the two clubs.
It said anybody with such valuable information should submit it to the PLB Secretariat at the GFA Office personally or through Fax number 021-668590.
On Wednesday, supporters of Real Tamale United re-iterated their claims that the club’s management colluded with officials of Kotoko to fix the premier league match.
The RTU fans challenged the Ghana Football Association to invite them before the disciplinary committee to provide proof of their claims.
Mohammed Amin Abioo the spokesman for the Channels, the support base of the club said that they have enough evidence to buttress their claims.
“This is a wild allegation and you know without evidence one cannot just mention this. We have a lot of evidence to buttress our whatever point raised in our statement,” Amin Abio told Joy Sports.
“There is even a bloodbath between the technical men and the management because the information the technical men have is that the money (bribe) was 100million cedis and the other source have it that it was 350million cedis negotiation with management
“Some of the players about eight threatened to boycott the match if management told them to play it soft.
"They (management) informed them (players) and they (players) resisted and they (management) were insisting. We have enough evidence and are every ready to voice it,” Amin Abio added.
The 29th week GT Premier League match between RTU and Kotoko at the Tamale Kaladan Park ended abruptly after irate home fans invaded the pitch to attack the referee for what they termed bad officiating.
